Hi, I’m Carlos – I’m a Senior Product Designer focused on creating intuitive, impactful digital experiences for web and mobile apps across SaaS, eCommerce and Digital Platforms.

I have over 15 years of experience leading product strategy and design across industries such as energy, education, healthcare, government and technology. I drive product roadmaps, mentor and lead design teams and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable digital solutions. I have also worked with multiple Fortune 100/500 companies to tackle high-impact challenges.
In addition to my design leadership, I have hands-on experience with machine learning and automation and I am currently exploring ways to enable AI-supported workflows that improve both user experience and operational efficiency. I thrive on solving complex problems through thoughtful design, collaboration and practical, results-driven solutions.

Customer Transparency App
Product Design Lead – Native iOS & Android
Impact: Improved customer trust + reduced support reliance
Bringing real-time operational visibility to customers so they can act faster
Energy customers often lacked timely visibility into order progress and service milestones, relying on calls and emails for updates. This eroded trust and slowed adoption of existing digital tools. Partnering with product, operations and engineering, I led the design of a mobile-first transparency app that consolidated order tracking, service milestones and notifications into a unified, intuitive experience. The new design increased customer trust, reduced support calls and drove stronger engagement among field and operations teams.

Subsurface Visualization SaaS
UX Design Lead – Browser based SaaS (2D + 3D subsurface visualization)
Impact: Faster insights + improved onboarding for subsurface engineers
Accelerating decision-making by reducing friction in data interpretation
Subsurface engineers depend on complex spatial data to drive high-stakes decisions, but the legacy desktop tool slowed interpretation and required lengthy onboarding. I led the transformation into a modern cloud SaaS platform that streamlined workflows, surfaced tools only when needed and introduced a patented “GeoTag” feature so users could instantly return to key geological points. This made insights easier to reach and knowledge easier to share across teams.

Field Inventory App
UX Designer – Barcode scanning on mobile field devices
Impact: Improved billing accuracy + reduced inventory loss
Reducing operational blind spots by enabling real-time part tracking
During onsite workflow studies with field technicians, I identified that untracked material usage was creating billing leakage and inventory gaps. I partnered with operations and IT to design and test a barcode-scanning feature that let techs quickly log parts without disrupting their work. This real-time tracking improved asset visibility, reduced product loss and strengthened financial reporting across field operations.
